It's been a looooong time since my last post...... so I'm going to try and catch up! We have been busy, nothing crazy or anything like that.... just busy with life in general. The pictures that you'll see for this post were taken a few weeks before Easter (my Easter pics are below this entry). We went back home to Coolville for a visit. For the last few years it has been a tradition to 'go see the sheep' with the kids. We go to a sheep farm that is a close to my parents house. In the past years the weather has always been freezing, but this year it was nice. The kids always enjoy seeing the sheep, but I have to say that the 'star' of the farm this year was the dog. He was the craziest, little thing. He was really fast and would run everywhere.... he could also jump over the fences! The kids thought he was hilarious. Thanks Joe and Alice for always letting us visit!
I also got to visit my great-Grandma while we were in. She now lives in a nursing home that is a few minutes away from my parents house. Carlie went with me, and she wasn't sure what to think. Meme has been living with Alzheimer's for many years now and it got to be too much for my great-Grandpa to care for her at home. I always feel so many mixed emotions when I see her..... happy just to see her, sad because she doesn't know us, guilty because I can't see her more often. I worry about my Papa, he loves her so much and goes to the nursing home everyday to be with her. I am so thankful that she lives in a place that is close to my family. All of the kids and grand-kids are always there with her, taking turns feeding her lunch and dinner, and just helping them in general. Some visits are better than others, but it is always good to see her.
