Every year right before Thanksgiving we get out our Christmas decorations and put up our trees. I know to some people it may seem a tad early, but the kids always get so excited to get out the decorations and I figure it takes us so long to get everything put up, we might as well enjoy it for a while!
The pictures I have posted show some of our decorations, and there are also pictures of the gingerbread house that the kids decorated. The stable in the nativity picture was built by Josh's Dad.
As Christmas draws nearer, I am reminded of God's love for His people. Even when we make mistakes and fall short....and we all do......through it all and no matter what He loves us. It is hard to comprehend giving away your only Son, but knowing that He did that to save us, a world full of sinners, shows how much He does love us. I am so thankful for the birth of our Savior and through Him, the promise of ever-lasting life.
